Damage and Defects in PK Belts

Damaged Outermost Ribs

There is a piece of rubber torn off the sidewall of the belt. This may cause a rattling noise.

Cause:

A defective Foley greatly increases the likelihood of wall cracks. The unbalanced forces applied to the belt through the Foley cause this defect to develop and disappear.

Solution:

Replace the belt and make sure the pulleys are adjusted. Also check that the pulleys and tensioner belts are not bent or broken.
