Undercord Cracking

Causes:

• The pulley is too small for the belt cross-section.
• Belt vibration.
• Idler diameter is too small.
• Excessive cold or heat.
• Improper belt maintenance.

Solution:

• Use a larger diameter pulley.
• Tighten the belt until the vibration stops.
• Increase the diameter of the idler.
• Control the temperature.
• Do not wrap the belt too tightly, do not bend it. Keep it away from heat and direct sunlight.
